Anybody else getting error messages while loading this site?

The message popped up about 4 times tonight as I tried to load.

What messages? Everything seems to be fine.

Page load error: Server not responding.

I'm wondering if so many people are accessing it at one time the server can't take it? Next time it happens I'll take a snapshot.

Please do. Sounds like a problem with your connection though.

I have been having same problems lately too. I get a timeout page then takes a few minutes to get back for halloweenforum and christmasfanclub but other sites work fine so i dunno.

hmm. I use 2 services to monitor the sites. I also stayed logged into the server, and I am not receiving any messages (with the exception of 3 minutes on wednesday morning).

The site really does not support movies. You should upload to Youtube or similar and then you can show just add the link to your post and the video will show up.

Hi Larry,

FYI, whenever I have gotten this message (page load error) I think it is because of the "Halloween ads.net" thing. Sometimes it takes quite a while for the "Halloween ads.net" to go through before the site comes up. (same thing happens on HF as well occasionally.) (I also get this on Yahoo occasionally, but of course not with "halloweenads".)

I know this isn't Nov 2008 anymore, but I thought I would give you my 2 cents of what I have noticed. Maybe it will help, maybe it won't.

Edwin

Yep. This is on the same server as Halloweenforum.com, we are getting very very very busy and have to re-start the servers a lot.

We have our own servers?

We have our own servers?

Yes, I have 2 dedicated servers (sites too busy for shared hosting) and sites spread out on an additional 5 servers (not dedicated). Successful sites do cost a lot.

FYI, the site was down for about an hour tonight (so was HF) At 4 am (my time) it is back up.

I closed tonight, that is why I am still up! LOL :D

I'm glad it is back up. My guess is updating software.

Hmmm. Not sure. The uptime reports for the monitoring that I use do not show the downtime so it was accessible from some places. Hmmm.

Larry, it kept "timing out". I have the super (not premier) internet package with COX here in Vegas. Also, I use Firefox if that helps. All the other sites that I went to were fine.

(not complaining, just trying to help!) :D

Everytime I log onto the site, it says there are no new posts - but there are some. Anyone else getting that?

Do you hit the new posts button?

I know if you log in, and don't finish reading the new posts, and log out- if you log in later the system assumes you already read the posts you had up earlier. Is that your issue perhaps?

Nope, I posted the mother's day thread, came back yesterday and today and it didn't show up (under the "new posts" button.) I went through the forum category lists and found it that way and saw all the responses. ???

Did that make sense?

Sometimes if I am off more than a day or two it does not give me all new posts, just today's.

JW is correct, mine only shows the last 24 hours.
