Just came from HD and found these (http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100646535) lights on sale for 50% off (was 39.99, now 19.99). The register rang it up as $34.99, so we had to walk the cashier to the display that had the 19.99 sale price.
Bought 3 boxes, took them home to test...
The string is 12 feet long, and they are in the form of icicle lights. Each icicle will have 2, 3, or 4 light modules. Each module looks like a stocky icicle and has several LED lights inside and when plugged in, the entire string does a light show of fade, flash, or roll of various colors. There is no switch on the control box, so it's a fixed show.
The box says you can connect 8 of these lights together. That's good because in my years of managing my lights, I've only been able to keep 3 connected strings of the C7 bulbs lit without popping a fuse.
Wifeypoo is forbading light decorations until after Thanksgiving, so I'll string them up and post a pic/vid when done.
