I have been thinking of making those sidewalk arches that I have seen over peeps sidewalks that lite up. Does anyone here have a How to?

I'm thinking of rebar as the support system and slide the pvc down over it, as far as the Pvc skeleton system for the arch that is where I get lost .
Do you all use the 3 way connectors at the top to hook them together to keep them from falling over? or will they stand pretty good just using the rebar?:deer:

Hi Blinky! A couple of questions first. How wide is your sidewalk? How tall do you want the arches to be? And how are you going to use them? Solidly wrapped and controlled by computer or lightly wrapped (say, a few hundred on each arch). If you can answer me those questions, I can give you a how to.

But for now, you can use rebar but that will depend on what size PVC pipe you're going to use too.

it is my daughters sidewalk and she is going to measure it tomorrow, but it looks to be a normal sidewalk in front of the house that leads to the front door. if I had to guess I would say its about 8-10 feet long from stoop to sidewalk street side. as far as pvc goes what do you think is best I was going to run one color strand on each arch like red, on one blue on another and so forth. there about 250 light per strand. I have a MR christmas machine that will run the lights. I was thinking maybe 1/2 pvc pipe? what will be easy to make arches better 1/4" or 1/2" IDK? Thanks for any help you can give Hugs
