hmmm... maybe I could! I'll use the cord off the toaster, the fan out of my computer, and maybe, cut DH's cloths up! :D No I'm kidding, I should give it a go, it should't be to hard I don't imagine.

worth a shot, and you'll learn a bunch in the meantime.
Heck, I've seen people make campfires out of box fans using the same technique. :)

You'll be fine. Just remember to get a 120 AC fan if you plan on running it from a wallwart, or a 12V fan or less if you plan on running it from batteries.
Heck, you may even want to get a switch to turn it on or off, or just pop in and out the batteries.
You can even get a battery holder, :D

What kind of cloth should I use do you think? I don't have one of these to look at, so clueless as to what to use.
No batteries, I hate replacing them! Plug in or nothing. A switch would be nice.

All a switch does is make (in theory) a wire open or shut. It doesn't carry the current to the motor when open 'cause it can't get past that gap. Shut completes the wire (circuit) and power flows like a river to your motor.
cloth, the more lightweight the better. Several people have used silk. I think the cloth for airblowns would be fine, too.

OK I do have one air blown thing.... but I so can't cut that up. LOL its been out of the box and and set up once (inside) just to see it, and decided I didn't like it. I should probably set out on a mission at garage sales, I am bound to find one there.
Should I buy a switch? Or rip it off something?

either way will be fine. Most of the switches I get, I tear off of toys that I'm using motors from.
Here's a great link for a how-to. Adapt it for your bowl needs. :)

OHHHH! I have a fan like that, I remember seeing it, it was taken out of those old big computer covers that they used a 100 bazillion yrs ago.
Excellent how-to... have it book marked and I am definitely going to do it now that I saw that fan and actually have it. Thank you Sickie, saved me 30.00 plus :)
