I learned of this board through another Christmas site, and I saw some familiar names already (hi Carrie, hi Ryan!).

I'm a huge Christmas fan! My family and I do a good-sized outdoor Christmas display(since 1994), plus I also collect Christmas movies and books. I love to do Christmas crafts all year-round, and one of my favorite things to do is make my own Christmas cards.

I look foward to checking out this board and meeting new folks.

Hey Lisa! You made it! Nice to see you here. While our "other forums" are nice, this place is really different, in the sense that it's not all about the lights, how many channels you have, etc. It's ALL about Christmas, ALL the time!

And if you like Halloween, you should check out the sister site, HalloweenForum.com.

Glad you found the place... very friendly people here. You'll like it!

Welcome LisaJ! Ryan's right. LOL We deal a lot with crafts here, although we sometimes touch on lights, too.

In general, we like to have fun, build props, and genuinely care about each other. Hey Mummy, give LisaJ a mug of chocolate. I think there's some empty space on the rug there by the fire. :D

Well Howdy Lisaj and welcome the forum. Glad to have ya aboard. Be cool to see some of your hand made Christmas cards. Most of us are members of the Halloween forum as well. Kinda tell by our names. LOL

That was funny putrid... LOL. Many of us get a little tired of always being asked:

1. How many lights do you have?
2. How many channels do you have?
3. How many visitors do you get?

As if the answers to those three questions determine how good/nice your display is! Again, one of the reasons I like it here... discussion about ALL things Christmas, not just lights.

From one j to another welcome aboard. so glad you've joined us. looking forward to seeing some of your cards, I hope to have enough time to do some of those this year. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. Like sickie says we love to have fun here and we are a caring bunch of deckers( what we call ourselves) bc like Ryan mentioned its not just about lights but just about everything in between. nice to meet ya!

Yo! Lisa! Welcome! I'm a newbie too but this is a really fun site. As Ryan said its nice to go to a site that is not about channels, number of lights, etc. etc. I'm hoping to be able to learn more crafty things here, maybe share a little about the Santas I carve too. Now could someone please give me a marshmellow?
