I was glad to see there actually IS a place where its okay to discuss Christmas all year! From the time I was young I got hyped up for it from the time we got the Christmas catalog in the fall. I am looking forward to reading all the posts and gaining some great new ideas.

Many of us are "Deckers" (Christmas prop builders) as well as "Haunters" (Halloween prop builders.)

Thats great! To me, Halloween is best after Christmas.(No offense to anyone)
I would love to set up a christmas train village and maybe start with outside decorations, though I dont know how successful I would be at props. After Christmas this last year I had somebody give me a lighted wicker reindeer, so I might just have to give it a try.
