Greetings, Greetings....my little Elves,
Fear Not as I have returned from the land of the Zombies in our other forum. We been so darn busy in that coffin contest that everything else got put on hold!
I just wanted to mention that if we are going to try and do a cookie exchange at xmas this year perhaps we should try and get started early in planning this and figuring out how we are going to handle it. This way as the holidays approach we will be ready to bake and ship them cookies out!
Whats everybody think?

Well thats a good start there Ickie.....I kind of like the idea of sending our little batches of cookies to each person instead of sending all of them to one thats then repacks and sends them off again to everyone. Not only a lot of work but a lot of traveling knocks & bumps for those little delicate cookies!

I'm game...I hope to get my head in the game much earlier this year. Like right after halloween! (And to be honest, I'm not giving as much attention to halloween as I once would have liked. Haven't been on HF in a long time, and such. Still want to make some mummies though!)

Cookie exchange?? I'm in! We do one every year in my family, with the exception of last year since my grandmother was dying.

Thank you Sickie. I really need to get busy with it, but I haven't found the time to yet. It's a slow work in progress....

Well, I'm going to have to regretfully drop out of the cookie exchange. Finances and family come first, and right now we're pretty desperate. My class for dialysis ends Dec 3, so hopefully I'll be able to get a job soon after.

Completely understand, Sickie. Seems like things are tight just about everywhere this year.

When I send out cookies and candies to family and friends I usually send them out in a pringles can. it can get a little tricky though, when baking cookies to exact size to fit in a can. though when I do manage to get it right, the treats arrive just fine.

they sell those tubes at the PO, too. That's a great idea, N!

Hi... I've been a lurker on the board since last spring. I would be interrested in a cookie exchange. You'll be seeing quite a bit more of me on here in the coming months.

Sounds like a plan, Peyote. :)

I'd consider getting in on this. Got burned on secret reaper so not sure yet, might just stick to a christmas card exchange.

I did this time, too D. Last time was no problem, this time I got stung. At hauntforum we have back-up reapers, so if yours doesn't come through- ya get someone following through for ya anyway. My back-up was soo awesome, I think I actually came out better than if my original sent something!

Nah, I don't need a napkin. LOL. If I get too many cookies it would be a wash cloth.
Are you asking if I did a Halloween display this year? Of course I did. Small but I did one.

SP is right. The coach encourages everyone to jump in the game and as few people on the sidelines as possible. :D
