OK I made this , this morning.
follow directions from Sickies post here...
http://www.oldstatehouse.com/pdf/osh_cornucopia.pdf
or here is how I made this.
first make your template as seen in pic
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j136/imdiamondlilly/xmas%20stuff/cornucopias%20of%20sorts/papertemplatew.jpg
then cut your foil or paper to same size. I made 2
I glued the paper in between two sheets of silver door foil I had for reinforcement.
Next I made a inside border ..it was easier to bend into the roll. next time I will do that better.

I then folded up the point end about 1/2 inch and glued that down,
Now roll for opening at top and to point at bottom.
I glued it as it went. Started at bottom to top checking as I went along and glued
I also used a zip tie that I cut end off of, covered and glued foil onto that for handle.

attach /glue to inside of opening.
Embellish ( I used Xmas erasers I got for 50 cents a bag) and its done

I used hot glue to attach everything also
I may fill this with potpourri and evergreen twigs instead of candy
Hope ya likes it...

Cool and a lot more like the original idea than using cardboard. Looks great!

looks good, Lilly, I like it done in the silver foil. The erasers are a cute add on! That is a very versital craft, depending on the paper used and the add ons, how big or little you made it.

To make an authentic one you can make your own 'die cuts' with the wrapping paper.

Cut around but not up to the picture or pattern on your Christmas paper. Using a glue stick glue this to a piece of cardboard. A cereal box or poster board works great. Don't use a liquid glue. It'll bulge up and deform the paper. Wait till this dries and cut out. Glue this to the inside sticking out or the front of your cone.

One of these days ( years LOL ) I'll have my site up and running. Be able to show pictures of what stuff like this looks like.

Hopefully It'd be worth visiting. Sorry it's taking so long. This old dog is trying to learn to many new tricks at one time. Unfortunately the site isn't the only thing I have going on right now. I'm not to old to be this busy, I'm to lazy. LOL
