Now that the holiday season is behind us......I was wondering how many of you are working on any projects...or is it to soon?

I have already found myself getting back with my beloved Halloween thoughts again. Started working on my halloween web site again...it needs cleaning up & have quite a few pages to complete. Made a list today of what needs to be built for Halloween 2008....I'm afraid to show this to Ex-hubby, sure is a long list.

Last year I made all the blueprints for the panels we need to build for the Gingerbread theme. Some prints are for the inside & some for the outside. If he just cuts things out for me I could start painting in my spare time.

I tried to get everybody together around here for the forming of a Halloween building group & altho everybody was interested it was just to hectic around the holidays to try and plan a get together. Everyone had family coming and such.

Hopefully next month we can start talking again about a date to get together.

I haven't started working yet, am in the planning stage. I should get started on the head I am planning. Printed up a picture to give me help and inspiration while doing it, but thats as far as I've gotten. I also need to clear a work area, so can work on bigger props.

Hiya Muffster, Everything is all packed waiting for the move so I haven't started anything yet. We are here in NC for another 10 days. Happened on to a yard sale here saturday and low and behold, scored some Halloween stuff!

Been pretty boring here so I've been doing lots of designing. Your Gingerbread house gave me an idea Muffy. Now that I have all the room I need, I can build some of those larger props. Also thinking about "dual purpose props", I thought about a "Gingerbread house" made from panels painted on both sides so that it could be disassembled and reassembled inside out to turn it into a "Witches Cottage". Or do I just have way too much time on my hands?

I want to make a pair of joking skeletons out of a couple of Boris heads. My only struggle will be to download Audacity and figure out how to separate the voice track into left/right audio.
I'd also like to make an animated full size wolf. I have a wolf mask I got at the K-mart after Halloween sale. I still need to find some bathroom rugs that look like wolf fur.:)

Audacity is a great program. I've played around with it. I used it to add effects to sound files I used to make my background sounds for the haunt. For the main mix I use Sonic Forge's Acid Pro.

I know someone on the Halloween forum wanted to use Abbot and Costello's "Who's on First" routine. If I remember right there's a big thread on it. Don't remember the outcome.

As far as the fur goes try looking for fake fur at places where they sell mostly materials. Might get something that looks the part and be cheaper.

You're not kidding! I looked at bathroom rugs and dropped my teeth!

Thanks for the tips, Putrid. I also looked on E-bay for fake fur and there were quite a few listings. I hope to get started on it soon.
