So I was at the antique store and found a christmas mag from the 50's -- lots of cute things to get together for next christmas -- and a Red Ryder BB gun. Now, I know they still make these, but this one was still in it's original box, and it seemed older. I will have to go back and take a better look at it, but do any of you know what the older ones are worth? Do you think it is a good collectable? Or just cool to have?

Wish I still had mine. I've seen ones with the original boxes go real high at auctions.($75 to $100+) And others go for little to nothing. ($1 to $10) But I couldn't tell you what to look for or what makes one worth more than the other. The best rule for collecting? Pay what it's worth to you.

Yep. I have a feeling they are paying the $$$ for the box, as the rifle is still being made.

I might go back and sneak a pic of it....but the box was in great condition from a glance. It was funny b/c my mom had no idea why I was so interested in a bb gun! She was probably thinking I would shoot my kids' eye out!

I think it was around 80? I was distracted b/c I also found a really great pin-up that I wanted, so I didn't pay as much attention as I should have.

I am sure the movie has helped them BB guns go up in price to. Just like the leg lamps..Which are pretty hilarious but alot of peeps want them.

Shell Bell, I think it'd be totally cool to have a leg lamp in the window threw the month of Nov. Then replace it with the tree. Nothing says the holidays like glowing electric sex and the smell of turkey. LOL

What's the matter with a holiday like that? What you need to do is buy 2 leg lamps..one for october and one for november. But of course the october leg would need some embelishing.. .......

Or you could get 3 leg lamps for October. Then just take one away for November. LOL
