- give her a brick, a jackass, and an ornament.

Yep, I made my wife cry on Christmas - well, I made her cry twice, once on the 23rd, and then again on the 25th.

Here is her brick - part of the Penguin Plaza in a local zoo.

She got to pet a real African penguin (also known as a jackass penguin) later that night.

And then I gave her a Chatty Cathy ornament - she had one of those dolls when she was a little girl. You would have thought she was still 6 the way she lite up when she saw it.

No, the 23rd was the last day before Christmas that the zoo would be open (didn't want her to get her present too early!). The penguin - it's on the lap of the lady sitting next to my wife in the 2nd pic. What sweet, thoughtful presents!! I would LOVE to pet a penguin, lucky girl! And finding the ornament that meant so much, that's cool, you're a thoughtful guy!
