Greetings All as we approach the big day!! Merry Christmas to all of you & I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow or even tonight if thats when your festivities start!
I'm still plugging along with village building. Finished the dining room village this morning and am almost done with the one on top of the gun cabinet. All that leaves is the monster one in the front room under the main tree. I'll work on that tonight.
Got all the garland up last night and am heading outside right now to cut branches to assemble the garlands. Its all starting to come together. Ex hubby is cooking the dinner tomorrow and I will bake tonight. I'll finish up the decorating tonight & tomorrow and then hope to start baking Wed. for the re-scheduled open house on the 29th!
What a hoot to think I was so behind for Halloween this year with hubbies surgery that for sure I knew I would be on top of things with this xmas decorating so as not to feel like I put it up & then took it right down!lol Still I enjoy decorating so much that I just could not seem to bring myself to pack everything up from my villages & just forget it this year. Now that they are almost done I'm so happy I just moved along slowly and am getting it done. I enjoy them so much!
I sure gotta hurry cause those accounts are gonna be ordering candy right after the 1st for Valentines Day eeekkk!!!

Mele Kalikimaka from Hawaii to all. Hard to believe it's Christmas with this weather, just doesn't feel right. Our stateroom is decorated with lights and a tree that we brought from home. We're going ashore in Kauai today in search of some real food, maybe Taco Bell! Hope you all are having a wonderful day...Aloha.

Taco Bell isn't real food!! But, whatever floats your boat! lol
Just finished up round two -- did our presents in the the am, did presents and a brunch with inlaw, etc just now, and will go to my parents in a few hours. Made a yummy cheesy ham and potatoe casserole and will make a cheescake soon.
Love my presents, but more importantly love the happiness everyone seems to have.
Just wanted to drop in and say hi -- off to wrap and cook!

Happy day after Christmas, hope every one had a great time. I did. Christmas eve went to my sister inlaws, just sat around , ate and visited, but be don't see each other much so it was nice, On Christmas day had my kids over, opened presents, ate (of course) I played games with my daughter , just had fun relaxing and being togater, and hubby was actually in a good mood,(that doesn't always happen,LOL!) so all was good. Well, off to work- after a quick stop at the store by me to see if any LED lights are on clearance! Have a great day!

Well, didn't get any props made for Christmas this year. I haven't given up though. I'll be working on C and H all year long.
My first prop to complete is my Christmas Story leg. I just have to wait 'til Fri to get some money again.
I talked to my wife about how cool it would be to take figures from animated specials, make them life sized, and set them up for the scene next year. You know, Bumbles, Rudolf, the Snowman host, heat and snow misers, etc. I'll have to draw out a display, then work on the props so I'm not so scattered in time and moola..

Good day all! Hope you all had a fabulous day yesterday! I have my last Christmas tonight. It was so hard to get up and come in to work this morning. I think I left my brain at home............

I managed to get a few led light sets, want to edge the house next year with them, and a couple of ornaments. Sickie, I would love to see figures of the bumble, snowmeizer, etc, can't wait to see what you do with it during the year. After New years, I am going to try to get ambitious enough to start a prop head for H. I have never tried anything this hard or detailed, so we will see, I will be learning myself as I go, have a definate picture in my head, I just hope it turns out like that in real life! Every one have a great day, off to work!

Bethene, I've never made anything like figures either. I guess I always head into a situation of crafts assuming I can do something unitil proven I can't.

I have made prop figuures for a couple of years now, have been trying to improve every year, I made my first from scratch prop head last year( with help from a tutorial from Lauriebeast, aka Candycane- she has a awesome turorail, BTW), a old man grave digger head, I actually am very proud of him, my non- haunter friends, at least, couldn't believe I made him. But this year, I have a theme in mind, and a pretty detailed prop in mind, I just hope it comes out the way I want- I always have BIG ideas in my head, hopefully it translates to real life! I used to do SLOT of crafts, especially Christmas, they were my favorite, but when I discovered camp site haunting, it started a BIG obsession with me, ,must do bigger , must do better, I really am quite over the top, that is until i discovered all the rest of you guys, I now sorta fit in!

I would love to see that too, Sickie...
Glad everyone had a great Christmas!
Have to go do some more cleaning for round four (the final christmas round) this weekend.
Then there is New Years.
When do I take down the tree?
And when do I have to start my resolutions?
Hmmmmm....I think I may have also misplaced my brain today. :)

Mummy- at my age, I don't even make resolutions, cuz I know I will break them, yes, I know I should lose some weight, stop drinking diet soda, clean the basement, etc. , But if I don't resolve to, I don't have to feel quite so guilty when i don't!

lol...yeah, the guilt doesn't stick to me for too long, heh.
Well, round four was canceled til next month, but that is good. We will still exchange some presents tomorrow, but it is better than having to do another big meal. So, instead of cleaning, I escaped the mess and went to see National Treasure instead!
