Well Xmas Buddies.......for 2 months I been looking at that White Snowman holding the Green Tinsel Tree at Walmart. For some reason I just simply like him!

In my days of decorating at the diner....in ads we ran in the local newspaper & our brochure for the diner my decorating was known as....."Debbie's Delirious Decorating Habits", ya just never knew what was gonna be hanging off the walls in my place!lol My belief was in order to be remembered......decorating had to be gawdy!! Yup ya never forget those gawdy places!!lol

Anyways....this snowman kind of fell into the gawdy catagory.. He was $89.99!!!! Poof....way to much for me! It was hard weeks later when he got marked down to $50.00 to pass him up once again......so the last time I went to Walmart he made it into my basket for the great deal of $30.00!! Yup I'm proud to admit ...it was a heck of a deal!

Anybody else picking up marked down items they had their eye on?

Yup same here Sickie...I may pick up a few things but not as much as I want..I usually get it at goodwill or the like anyways ..even cheaper than the stores.
Hope to see some of your stuff soon,
Do you have any pics of your decorations Mistress Muffy?
I don;t remeber seeing that snowman at the store.

Got a $25 Walmart gift card from work. So I got 5 boxes of ceramic C7 multi color lights at 50% off. My cost? $0. I like free. Going to keep my eyes open for things left when it all goes for 75% off. Hoping to get more evergreen garland and a few more wreaths. Also looking at those 'angels' with the sticks coming out of there backs. Rip the torture devices off and make better looking wings for them. Those funky material covered cones would be great bases for pine cone or plastic poinsettia trees. Doesn't look like they sold a single one of them at are Walmarts.

I get a lot of stuff at auctions really cheap. Even off of Ebay.

Are you the one always out bidding me? JK LOL
I bought a 6 1/2 foot 96 branch Evergleem aluminum tree off of Ebay. The listing had no pictures, only a description. The person selling hadn't sold many items but had a perfect rating. I got the tree shipping and all for $69! You may have to wait for them but deals can be found.

Just for fun I did a search on Ebay to see if there was any 98 branch 6 1/2 ft 'fountain' Evergleam trees up for auction. I did see one 6 ft 91 branch fountain. They have it listed as "pom pom (fountain)" but in the pics it's clearly a fountain. Starting bid $99. They should get that and more for a 'fountain' tree. The way to tell the difference between the three types of branches are.

Strait branch has no flaring at the outside end. The aluminum 'needles' are the same all along the branch.

Fountain has a pronounced cupping at the outside end of the branch.

Pom Pom has a very pronounced trumpet look to each branch. The aluminum 'needles' curve back to form a wide bell.

For me the fountian is the best looking of them all.
