At my husbands family get together we are going to play a few games, the two that I am in charge of are "Christmas Carol Chaos (sp?)" like Pictionary with Christmas songs and when you have the answer you have to sing it, and a Christmas Trivia game, when your team has an answer you get a letter and you have to spell CHRISTMAS to win.

The teams will be Boys VS Girls. We will have about 10 - 12 per team ages 11-85.

For one prize I bought boxes of Andes Candies (Great, individually wrapped, chocolate mints - if you don't have them in your area) Usually around $2 per box, I found them on sale 99 cents.

Trying to think of prizes for the other game, again around $1.

I was thinking maybe scratch off lottery tickets?

Any one have an idea? Please?

Lottery tickets would be good, once in a while stores have chocolate covered cherries on sale( I think Rite aide does this weekend- 99 cents), or the 10 pack of smaller candy bars(again, I think on sale at Rite aid), or try a dollar store, you can usually find frames, candles, knick knacks, plus other things. (Dollar Tree usually has pretty decent stuff) The games sound alot of fun!! Good luck!

You could just get assorted candy bags and wip up little goodie bags or you could get those little M&M figures that are a buck (most retail stores have them).

For the team that does not win, you could give them a piece of coal/charcle in a baggie. :-)

Most stores are already having big sales -- you could easily find ornaments for under a buck to hand out. But I like the scratch off idea -- we put them in the stocking every year!

My husband said that similarly to coal, his family would pass out sticks. Even cheaper!!

Yeah, with the cost of coal now-a-days, Santa would lose a fortune! LOL
