Reindeer Food (for the Kiddies)

My Neighbor just came by and gave my kids a little ziplock bag with reindeer food and a note attached to it that reads:

Be sure to take this magic food
And sprinkle on the lawn.
On Christmas, Santa's reindeer
Travel miles before the dawn.
The smell of oats and glitter path
Will guide them on their way.
And you'll wake up to Santa's
Gift's next morn on Christmas day!!


How cute was that!! the baggy is filled with oatmeal and red and green sprinkles. I thought it was cute. thought I'd share, I know many of you have little ones like I do.

Aww!! We have done that for years with our Nephews! We would go out when they were sleeping and sweep it all up. It was the cutest thing in the morning when they saw that the reindeers ate all of the food!! Good times... It will surely be a tradition when I have kids.

Last week my little girls school had a family night, we all made reindeer food, orniments, music, had story time with hot cocoa and cookies and seen the jolly fat man, they even wrote letters and drew pictures to the service men and women over seas to wish them a merry christmas.
