We got freezing rain today. Was without electricity from 11:47am to after 10:00pm. This morning I got the camera and took some shots of the ice in the trees. Branch after branch were hitting the ground. From every direction I could hear the sounds of cracking wood and loud thumps. Even watched some fall. So I took the camera back inside and got my keys. Started the car up and let the heater and back window defroster do their work. Scraped off enough ice to see to back up and moved my car to the other side of the drive and out from directly under two trees. Went back inside, gabbed a can and started to channel surf. Heard a loud crash. Looked out the window to see 3 LARGE branches on the ground. Right where my car had been parked no more than 5 minuets earlier. Grabbed the camera and took some shots. I had to. No one would believe this. LOL Went back inside just to hear a second loud crash. I looked out the window to see a large limb going across my drive and twoard my new car. So I grabbed the camera again. MY CAR was HIT by two twigs on the hood. The only part of the branch to hit the car was the very ends of two branches resting on the front bumper. Ya'll have got to check out the pics. LOL I believe in Jesus and not luck. Ya'll know who I thanked for it.
Had I been outside 5 minuets later to move the car I would have been hit. In the car or cleaning off the windows. It took two of us and a back hoe to get all the branches off the street.
