Last January, I had a '007' Martini Party where everyone came to the party with the ingredients for their favorite martini and they had to name it after a James Bond movie or character. Before the party everyone sent me their recipes and I compiled a Martini Recipe Book. Every couple left with their own recipe book and there were prizes for the favorites. The party was a huge success and a great way to try out new cocktails without having to buy all the alcohol.

Anyway, on to a Christmas Party. I have had several friends request that I do a Holiday version of this party with everyone bringing the ingredients for their favorite Holiday cocktail and again providing me with the recipes ahead of time so everyone can leave with a copy of our Favorite Holiday Cocktails.
I wasn't sure I was up for a Holiday Party after our Halloween Bash but it is an inexpensive way to get friends together and get them to bring their own booze.

Thought I share. It is a really fun party -- anytime.

Cheers!

That sounds great, B. Good way to save some cash, yet still spread cheer! About how many people did you have, or will you have?

Mummy deer-est,

It is a lot of fun! We had about 40-50 people at our 007 Party and will probally invite the same to our Holiday Party but with so many other parties going on we may not have the same turn out. I have so many parties through out the year with Halloween being my largest so it's tough to scale down the invites and it also makes it hard to keep things low key because I tend to go all out. I think for the Holiday party I am going to try to keep it more casual and prove to my friends that I don't have to always go over the top to have a great party. It may be a bit of a challenge because I eat, drink and sleep party planning. But hopefully with all I have to do to get ready for the BIG day I won't have time to fret over party details.

Cheers!

Wow! 40-50 people, eh? I'm lucky if I can think of a whole 5!

That is a lot! I would love to have that many, but don't know enough people that would be willing to either travel or get babysitters for that kind of turnout. But I will keep it in mind, to use as the kiddies get older!

Very, very clever! And, oh, imagine the possibilities with the leftovers...
