Ill see about posting picks of it tomorrow but here is the description of my "wild hare"
1 - 8 foot 2x3
4 pieces of 19 foot rope (I used Jute Ma creme rope)
27 - 9 foot lengths of cheap garden ridge garland (currently $1 for 9 ft)
8 tent stakes/ 10 penny nails
Plant the 2x3 6 inches into the ground and get a ladder.
set wind lines at 90 degrees using two of the pieces of rope anchoring the center at the top f the pole (I used a staple gun)
Set another "x" of lines between the first set ( giving you 8 lines at 45 degrees apiece)
Wrap the "trunk" with 2 pieces of garland
wrap each 9 foot line ( top o stake minus six inches at each end for the knot around the stake) with a length of garland
zig zag each of the 8 pie sections (between the guy ropes) of the tree from top tp bottom with two lengths of garland linked together.
decorate to suit.
For me my son got his silly self suspended from school for 3 days for getting in a senseless fight so I had slave labor to help me but over all this will take 2 people about 3 hours to build a 7 and a half foot tree for about 30 bucks
Decorated pics to come....
