Just thought it would be fun to hear how many trees everyone has and if you have a Christmas theme.

We change our theme for Halloween every year but Christmas seems to stay the same. I never really thought about my 'theme' but I guess you could say it is Christmas Wings -- I have birds, birds nests, angels, dragonsflies and lots of feathers and pinecones. I'll post some pictures as soon as I'm up and decorated.

Cheers!

My wife vetoed the gory Halloween tree this year, and I guess now I'll have to put it up during the Hallow season next year. :(

This year we'll stay with the eclectic tree. LOL

We have (or will have - once I get my real one) two big trees, ones in the kitchen by the fireplace and I have a winter wonderland theme in there (all blue, silver and white, with snowflakes etc....), My other (real tree) will be all gold and red. And I have 2 3ft trees one in my living room and one in the bedroom.

I know what you mean, Sickie. We only have the one tree (for now) and it has a bunch of differnt ornaments, including ones from when I was little, and ones our kids have made. I guess with little kids it's hard to say, "now kids we are only putting up red ones this year." As much as I would like to!

I usually put up 2 trees, a real big one in the living room, and a artifical one in the family room. I really don't have a theme. I use fancy glass type in the living room, and the older family ones and figure type in the family room. I do have smaller ones- 2 foot that I put up- every year some where different- where ever strikes my fancy .

More than likely I'll just have two trees up this year. Already have the fake feather tree up and decked. Finaly finished the pole and branches for the main tree. It's up and has mini multi colored lights and a 50's Noma lighted plastic angel tree topper. This one will get covered with glass shapes, bells, indents, painted, striped and anything but plain ornaments. One word to discribe my style? HEAPED

One tree here. Our theme this year is the same as last years, stars and snowflakes.

I have one main tree in the living room that is about 6.5 feet and a small 2ft poinsetta tree by the door. I would love to eventually have another but not until I move to a bigger house. The theme of the tree and of the house is sort of a "workshop or classic" Christmas. Old style toys, wooden cars, wooden dolls, rocking horses, nutcrackers.. the types of toys one would expect to find in Santa's workshop. Everything is super colorful and very cheery. :)

Well.......I posted my trees somewhere else on here...but I will post them here so they are in the right place!

I have the big tree that is made up of snowball lights & some ornaments but more trinkets.
I have 2 - 6ft. trees that I bought one year at the Salvation Army for 10.00 each...what a steal. One is an all rodeo tree full of all the events you'll find in a rodeo, santa's riding bulls, some old time ornaments like the Indian that use to be out in front of the stores in the old days, also various western type things, its covered in tiny red bows & raffia bows I made. Got that idea from people that lived in the country(the Real Country!) in westrn Nebraska.

The other tree is the Depression tree full of old ornaments that were purchased by my family during the depression era. I get scared when I handle those ornaments cause they are even in the original boxes they came in. I use to be afraid to put them out & last year decided to finally enjoy them & they look great.

I have the 1/2 tree over my comode! Then there is the 3 ft. Hawaiian Tree made up of all ornaments and souveniers my family sent me from Hawaii. Two xmas's ago they spent 3 weeks in Hawaii during Xmas.

There is a small 2 ft tree in the kitchen, my Mom had it for many years & it use to sit on the counter at a German restaurant in Chicago. She managed that restaurant.

Then there is the new tree. Its a 6footer optical tree. I not a big fan of these but when i plugged this sucker in....it sure is pretty. Its for my bedroom & I got it at Dollar General last year. It was marked 59.00 & I got it for 7.00 after Xmas. Really just putting a tree up in there because of the open house this year. I bought all gold & copper coloered ornaments to go on it that match my bed ensemble.

OK I'm Done!! Whew!!

Hahahahha...last night I finally opened 2 huge plastic containers that I brought from Chicago last Feb.. I knew they had mostly Xmas stuff in them from my Aunt but I just never unpacked them until last night. She is the kind of person that buys something & either takes it home for one season or decides she does not like it & sends it off to me!

There was great stuff in these totes but I found one thing I needed to add to this thread!

ANOTHER CHRISTMAS TREE!!lol

This is also an optic fiber one about 2 1/2 feet>>>>Jeez...I'm running out of room for trees!!

Gosh, so many trees so little time.... I only have the one real tree but its 14ft tall thats enough for me. we went with red silver and white, I like to go with the modern and glittery ornaments mostly santas ,reindeers nutckrackers and candy canes and about 2,500 lights. and to me it still seems like it could use more lights. (the more the merrier I always say) I up to my elbows in tree sap from putting in all the lights!:D

wow Nancj- a 14 foot tree!! I am so jealous!!! I would love to have a house with catherial ceilings, just for the tree, no other reason. Man, you are so lucky. I have a 8 foot real tree that is very fat though,( I love fat trees!) it takes up alot of the corner where it is - and hubby had to take a chain saw and cut off about 2 feet so it would fit. I love it -I think is beautiful- good thing seeing as it's mine LOL.

the house is a quad level home so only the kitchen has a cathedral cieling. thank goodness otherwise hubby would get 14fters throughout the house. putting on the star in no easy feat. Oh and I forgot the kiddies each have their own little trees in their rooms also ,so I guess we have a total of three trees. bethene my hubby loves fat trees also. last year we got one so fat I only had enough ornaments for the front of the tree, at least we were able to push it into a corner.

I just have one tree in my house. I usually decorate it with homemade ornaments, snowflakes, snowballs, pictures of loved ones and ornaments that were given to me by friends and family.
