I have apicture of this but i am not sure how to post it and it is very large so it would have to be down sized.
Anyway it is a veggie and dip platter in the shape of a turkey,I make them for Christmas and Thanksgiving.
I will try to make this as understandable as possible without a pic.

Body is 1 fairly large loaf of bread
head - an Italian roll
Neck - you could use a bread stick or a carrot
eyes- 2 whole cloves
beak - shaped carrot
feathers - carrots (peeled and sliced diagonally), 1 ea yellow, orange and red pepper (cut lengthwise in 1/2 inch strips pointed at the end), snow peas
Tail - one bunch of celery with leaves attached.

First time I made this I didnt make a dip I just toothpicked it all together But thats a pain when it comes to eating it.

Now I make a dip (2 pkgs cream cheese and 2 pkgs veggie dip (the powder dip mixes - any type -I use dill)
Spread it all over the large loaf of bread.
Stick in the tail ( celery with leaves in the end - where the tail should be)
- stick in the carrot for the neck - place the roll on top for the head.
- to put on the feathers start at the bottom and layer the veggies over the body in the dip (the dip - holds the veggies in place)

lyssa-anne...photobucket is pretty simple. After you set up an account, it will have a place to upload photos. Just press browse and upload them from your hard drive. After you select the photo(s) and press "upload" it will appear below that section in your album. When you click on it, it will enlarge and on the right side of the photo you will find the image code which you can then copy and paste into your post's here! Voila ~ your beautiful photo for all of us to see!

I hope that helps...

okay..here goes, I am going to give it a try (downloading the pic).
If it does work please keep in mind, this was one of my first and I no longer use toothpicks, I use the dip to keep it all together, so it no longer looks like a turkey/porcupine mix..lol! It looks much better using the dip to hold it together!

Your welcome! I'm glad you did it, b/c that looks great - I once did something similar for a dinosaur party. Good hint to use the dip as glue!

Great tip on the dip, and creative job on the bird! :)
