Can't say much. I'm as guilty as any. I know most of ya'll by your names and it's really cool to be here with ya'll. It just struck me as funny. What would someone new to this site think when they see "putrid' as the poster on there thread? Not a name you'd think of when thinking of Christmas. LOL But like the rest of ya'll it's the name folks know you by. And I'm more than sure some of us will get asked by the brave and curious why we chose these names. ( my answer..."well I didn't think anyone else would have it already. JK LOL ) What's in a name? Nothing. It's the person behind the name that counts. The best of the new folks will see it that way too.

Many of us are also haunters and the names may seem strange to the exclusive Christmas folk, but again- it's the name we are known by.
Why Sickie Ickie? Well, no other reason than trying to pick out a name, that combo just struck a chord with me. :)
On the SantasProject site, I'm known as Santa's Helper. ;)

I couldn't think of a name when I joined halloween forum, so just gave up and used my name. Pretty boring on the other forum- but at least translates ok over here! Also then I didn't have to strain the ole' brain and remember 2! LOL!

Yes I agree my friends....its nice to recognize people from the other board by their name. Still in the member introductions I am trying to keep everyone straight that took holiday names! Not being sure if everyone was here ...I called on "Witch From Canada" to join us because I did not see her over here.
Also invited Spookzilla who is new to the Halloween board. We been in touch cause he will be joining our local Halloween group (he lives up the road from me). He told me his wife is nuts about Xmas & thats how they even it out,....he is crazy about Halloween. Must be in the genetics, he has an Uncle in Tn. that is also crazy about Halloween & each year they try to outdo each other!
As far as newbies coming aboard here I still think its every haunters fantasy to turn xmas decorators & such into Halloween Nuts like us! I think that is the underlying objective here!!!hahahhahaa.

As mentioned in another thread, I used to have a license plate that read "1RRGUY"
I couldn't think of anything else, so I dropped the 1 and became RRguy on HalloweenForum. My imagination hasn't improved since, so I became RRguy on this forum also.

I guess I'm missing the joke??? What does RRGuy stand for?

I work for the Union Pacific Railroad. I repair railroad freight cars for a living. I have been a railroad worker for nearly 35 years. I considered RRMAN for a license plate, but I thought RRGUY would be more original. I had to include a number, so I used the number 1. I dropped the 1 for my forum user name.

*bonks head* of course! A rail road guy! Well, we allknow where to go now for our toy train repairs! :p
Do ya have a train running around your yard for Christmas?

Believe it or not, I hate trains. I see them every day at work. Sometimes I get blocked by a train trying to get out of the yard to go home. I've been delayed by over an hour. Sorry.:(

LMAO RRguy. I work in a glass factory and don't want anything to do with glass table tops, shower doors, shelving or the like. I do have a 3/8 inch thick bronze glass top on a tall sofa table. Only because I can order it from my place of work and get it for little to nothing. Cheaper than wood. And I can't pass up cheap. LOL And besides, 3/8 inch thick bronze glass is dark enough to make it hard to see threw.

Bet glass is $$$ to ship!

And we ship it by the truck loads. Shipping was cheap too. I just put it in my car. LOL

I had it tempered. I could hit it with the car but I'd damage my front bumper. LOL Funny thing about tempered glass. If you hit it straight on it's hard to break. Tap the corners or edges with something metal and it blows up like a firecracker.

I'll have to remember that for special effects in my films. :)

You'll only have one chance to make a good shot. Shower doors are hard to put back together again. LOL

*Director to the PA* "Now listen, we have to do another take. You understand now, don't ya?" *Director pulls out a roll of cellophane tape and hands it to the PA*

We could do a re-make of ' A Christmas Carol '. Scrooge will laugh at Jacob M. and poke fun at all three spirits.
To Jacob M.
"I've spent my whole life looking down at them. I'll spend my entire after life laughing at them too."
To the spirit of Christmas Past.
"....Been there, done that."
To the spirit of Christmas Present.
"Your absolutely right. I need to live it up!"
To the spirit of Christmas Future.
"OK so your telling me I'm going to die? Try telling me something I haven't figured out a long time ago. Talk about over stating the obvious."
Then he spends the rest of the film learning to live high on the hog with all the money he saved switching to Gieco. We could call it,
'Scrooge's real world crib.'

B, I'm an actor and dabble in SFX make-up for indie films. I've been and actor for over 30+ years in theatre and director of theatre for about a dozen or so. I've never director film, but wouldn't mind giving it a shot. I'm currently trying to get back into going professional w/my acting again.
