I can't believe there isn't an entire thread, nay, forum dedicated to Bing Crosby's Christmas music. It is the epitome of Christmas music.

It will be playing at home, at work, and in my car starting December 1.

I get all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. I used to have his cassette tape from when I was a wee lad (still have it), but have since upgraded to compact disc. It will be something my child will grow up with!

wOOt.

This was the first thread I clicked on when I signed on just now. I love Bing Crosby! And I've already watched White Christmas twice this year!

How funny is this??

A couple of days ago I could not pass up a CD I came across. All of Bing Crosby's Xmas music! I too love it!

Years ago I sat behind Bing Crosby and family in church on Christmas. Hoped he would sing but he didn't. He certainly had a voice like no other...

Ah, yes, Bing Crosby. "Christmas in Killarney" and "Mele Kalikimaka" are two more of my favorites.

For the first time in my life, I heard "Mele Kalikimaka" last week. :)

I first heard it in high school back in the sixties when the librarian used to play Christmas oldies during the holiday season. Many of the students would moan, but I liked them. I guess I was a nerd.

RRguy that is a shame I always felt like I got ripped off as a kid..
My brothers and sisters could have sleep overs and parties but I couldn't because the house was full already of guests from out of town.. I got my first b-day party when I turned 45 . Heck one year my mom forgot to even wish me Happy Birthday that was a bummer..

At least there is always a party on my birthday but not necessarily in my honor.

Bing is one of my favs too. Especially a special I watched as a kid and he had David Bowie on and they sang a duet of Little drummer boy and Peace on Earth.... Love that to this day.... That is By FAR my favorite christmas song.

Been going threw all my CDs and using spread sheets to organize. Still having trouble setting up a relational data base. (got three 50 lb books I'll be reading and hopefully learning something from. LOL) Decided to see how many songs I have by Bing. Got 20 all together with plenty of repeats. And the best part, different versions of the same song.

I have
2 Away in the Manger
3 God rest ye merry gentlemen
2 I’ll be home for Christmas.
2 Jingle bells
2 Silent night
2 The first Noel
and 4 different White Christmas

That be 30 songs all together I could make a CD with. This isn't counting most of the songs off of "A Merry Christmas with Frank and Bing". It's a radio broadcast like recording with lots of talking before or after the songs. I used to have a CD of a radio broadcast with Bing and his family. The x took a lot of CDs with her. I'll get a copy of it and the rest soon enough. Might even get the in laws to barrow the CDs. I'll make copies of them. Why not? I was the one who bought them. Can't steal what's already mine. LOL
