Feeling bad about how I treated the snail in previous years, I searched the garden and found the snail I had been so harsh to.
I apologised to the snail and told him that to make up for Christmas 2005 and 2006 this year I would buy him anything that he wanted as a christmas present.
The snail thought for a moment and said "I would like a red sports car"
Before I could reply he added "And I would like a big S painted on each side"
I agreed to buy the car for him but questioned why he wanted an S on each side.
He replied " Well when I drive down the street I want people to see me and say - look at that S car go!!" (escargot... get it ?? lol) :p
