Just watched this one last night. Here's a summary from IMDB:

In 1914, World War I, the bloodiest war ever at that time in human history, was well under way. However on Christmas Eve, numerous sections of the Western Front called an informal, and unauthorized, truce where the various front-line soldiers of the conflict peacefully met each other in No Man's Land to share a precious pause in the carnage with a fleeting brotherhood. This film dramatizes one such section as the French, Scottish and German sides partake in the unique event, even though they are aware that their superiors will not tolerate its occurrence.

I thought it was great overall. Very well made film. Just be prepared to read though as only about half of it is in English. For those with Netflix accounts, I suggest you put it at the TOP of your queue!

Just saw this on Netflix (streaming) a couple of nights ago. Both the wife and I really enjoyed this. We had heard the story through a song by John McCutcheon called "Christmas in the Trenches." Well worth the time to watch!

Glad to see that there are at least a few people who appreciate this film!

I think it's a real winner. It really captures the spirit of Christmas on the battlefield.

True story, good performances, high production values.
