Okay, this is weird, but Donny and Marie have a Christmas sung that was song with two melodies at the same time. I really love it when I hear it, but I don't remember the name of it.

Mine changes daily. LOL
The one song that brings on the Holiday for me is 'Linus and Lucy' by 'The Vince Guaraldi Trio' from 'A Charley Brown Christmas'.

I agree with annea,
Guadette (nearly any version)
Then there is "Do You Hear What I Hear?" (Bing Crosby)
Sliver Bells (Johnny Mathis)
Jesus Christ The Apple Tree (any version)
If I think about it, I could probably name around 100 - 150 of my favorites....:):):) (what can I say? I am a Crhistmas FREAK!)

Hey my wife bought a Chritmas in the Country CD about 15 years ago and we still listen to it. I'm not a country fan either but it translates to Christmas well IMO.

I don't care for most country music either. My favorite Christmas song would have to be the version of "The twelve days of Christmas" as performed by the group "Straight no chaser".

I like the classics (Bing, Burl Ives, Nat King Cole, etc.), though I really have to be in a very particular mood. And I'm afraid I can't take much in the way of sentimentality. So if "favorite" for me means "I can listen to it anytime and immediately get into the spirit," I'd have to go with a couple upbeat selections. Now, since I'm notoriously bad at choosing one favorite song, I'll say my favorite albums are "Boogie Woogie Christmas" by the Brian Setzer Orchestra and "Christmas Island" by Jimmy Buffett. Hope nobody terribly minds me bending the rules just a little:D. I'm also not a big country fan, which is weird since Jimmy Buffett's tunage has a notable country twang. Oh well, it still remind me of Christmas when I was little.

LOL Well there's one thing we have in common Rybcon. I've gotten into some hear saying
"Country = Rap" But basically it's true. The rhythm parts of country hasn't changed sense the early 70's. In fact there still using the very same steel and violin riffs. Drumming is non existent. Rap is even less creativity musically. Sampling other people's music is just another way of saying 'I have no talent of my own'. It's nothing more than variations on a beat. The same beat.
It's funny. I can enjoy folk, bluegrass, zydeco, ragtime, swing, jazz, country western, classical, rock, heavy metal, thrash, blues, big band, be bop, post bop, free form jazz, madrigal, soft rock, southern rock and a host more. But can't stand country or rap. Come to think of it I don't like traditional Japanese music either. Guess it's just a matter of personal taste. No more or less of a person no matter what you like.
