For those of you here who are fans of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and their holiday albums, I wanted to mention that they will be coming out with a two-disc non-holiday album later this month called Night Castle. It's their first album in 5 years and highly anticipated by fans.

I love their halloween stuff too. I 'll have to hear some opinions on the new one. :)

UPDATE:

For those of you who are interested, Night Castle has been released and Amazon is offering a KILLER deal on it BUT THIS OFFER ENDS AT MIDNIGHT.

You can get the 2-disc set with the 67-page booklet, which includes the story and original artwork for $7.99 (I ordered it yesterday and will give my thoughts once I have a chance to listen to it).

Or you can download a digital/MP3 copy of the album for--get this--only $3.99. That's an INSANE value considering there are like 26 tracks total.

For more info on the album itself, you SHOULD be able to go here http://www.nightcastlealbum.com/ but I just tried to access the page and the site seems like it might be down at the moment.

And for the Amazon deals, go here for the disc set:

Amazon.com: Night Castle (2 CD): Trans-Siberian Orchestra: Music

And here for the digital download:

Amazon.com: Night Castle (Amazon MP3 Exclusive Version): Trans-Siberian Orchestra: MP3 Downloads

Now I'm wondering if we're going to get anymore actual Christmas music from them. I know the first three albums are usually referred to as the "Christmas Trilogy" and it did take them 5 years to come out with Night Castle, so that's not exactly promising.

If they're not going to do it though then someone with a similar musical style needs to step in and fill in the gap.

Guess no one jumped on this, eh?

A shame . . . $3.99 for a TSO double-album is a STEAL. I paid more than that for my lunch at McDonald's the day I posted this.

As for me, I ordered the CD set for $7.99. I'll give a review once it comes in the mail.
