Which ones? There's so many to choose from! LOL I've got a small collection of them. Some really weird ones in it.
They ran one a few years ago called 'Robby the Reindeer" done by an English guy. Really cool. Hoping to get a copy of it again some day. Dose anyone remember the California Raisin's?

I love most of the animated stuff. (My name is Larry...and I am a DVD addict)
Yep. Somewhere I have the Chrismas CD from the California Raisins. Not bad actually.

I have too many favorites! How the Grinch Stole Christmas is classic, of course, as is A Charlie Brown Christmas. I'm just young enough to remember some of the really fantastic stuff Nickelodeon was doing in the 90s, too. The Christmas specials for Rocko's Modern Life and Hey Arnold in particular have always had a spot in my annual rotation.

I remember the california raisins Larry. LOL
As a kid we did not have many animated shows, so I loved them all. Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Mr Magoos Christmas Carol. As I got a little older I loved A Charlie Brown Christmas and The Grinch.

Needless to say, I'm a big fan of all the Rankin-Bass holiday specials...
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (have a holly, jolly christmas)
Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (Just put one foot in front of the other..)
Frosty the Snowman (was a happy, jolly soul..)
The Year without a Santa Claus (I'm Mr. White Christmas, I'm Mr. Snow..)
The Little Drummer Boy (Come, they told me..)
Twas the Night Before Christmas (even a miracle needs a hand)
but the one holiday special I miss, that I'm glad we finally got on VHS?
"A Wish for Wings That Work" starring Opus, Bill the Cat and the rest of Bloom County.

I was trying to remember the others from when I was a kid. I forgot about The Little Drummer Boy, which was also one of my favorites.

What is that one, Nestor the long eared Donkey or something like that... I bought it for one of the assistant managers at the Theatre last year because her husband's name is Nestor.
I love stop motion animation best!

There's just something about cell and stop-motion animation that works well for Christmas specials. I suppose animation's ability to capture the fantastic makes it such a wonderful medium. I can certainly claim to be a cartoon junkie :green:.
Along with the Rankin-Bass specials and Christmas episodes of favorite childhood toons, this was another one that I enjoyed: Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas. It was the same studio that produced the California Raisins (who also appear in the video), and I recall loving all the silliness when I was little (in that respect I haven't changed much ;) ). I was thrilled to find it on youtube, and even more thrilled to find out that it was released on DVD! You can check it out - split into parts - here: YouTube- Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas 1 of 3

YouTube- Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas 3 of 3.
EDIT: Arg! I'm having some trouble making these into highlighted links to each video's respective page rather than posting the video directly on the thread. Hope no one minds this colossal post.

No prob, in fact we set it up so the vids would post instead of the links. :)
A story:
I remember one year when I was about 14 or 15 or so, I was traveling with my family to my stepmom's parent's house for Christmas about 45 minutes away. I was in the backseat and had my dad's old handheld B&W TV. I was trying to find something to watch and ran across Garfield's Christmas Special. I had never seen it before and for some reason I remember feeling really GOOD about being able to watch it right then instead of sitting bored with nothing to do. I loved it and that has always been a very nice memory for me.
Anyway, I decided to try to find it again and lo and behold it was on YouTube. (Isn't everything?) I watched it a couple of nights ago. Honestly, it was not as good as I remembered it. (And how often has everyone had THAT experience?) But it was still entertaining and it was nice to revisit it after all that time.
