O.K. What is everyone's favorite dip.

One of mine is,

Pinapple dip

1 can of crushed pineapple (drained really well)
1 can of carnation cream
1 pkg of cream cheese
Sugar to taste.

Basically, just mix the cream cheese and cream together. Then add the pineapple and mix with a fork. I usually add a few tbsp of sugar but it all depends on how sweet you like it.

I love serving new dips. I can't wait to see yours!!

These are all fantastic! It makes me a little embarrassed to say that my favorite dip during the holidays has always been the block of Velveeta cheese softened in the double boiler with a can of Ro*Tel tomatoes and green chilies dumped into it.
I guess it's because it's the only time I ever got it.

Please continue.

Spinich dip for me, but I have no recipie.

Here's my recipe

2 cups sour cream
1 cup miracle whip
2 packages Knor vegetable soup mix
1 package frozen spinach
1 cup grated cheddar
2 loaves of pumpernickel bread

Mix the first 5 ingredients. Hull out one loaf of bread in the centre and fill with dip. serve the rest of the bread in bite size peaces.:)

My sister's been using this recipe for years, and never has dip left over. My friends liked it too.

I tried a bunch of different dips one year, but my friends like the basics ... ranch dip, french onion dip and 5 layer mexican dip with tortilla chips.

I also did a spinach dip at Halloween... it got eaten, so I'll do one of those again at new years.

I like to experiment with different foods, but I generally take my experiments to my sister's place, because her friends are more adventurous than mine.:deer:

Sickie, my pal came over and mixed my sour cream and salsa the other day. I looked at her like she was nuts at first, but if you put em on your taco it's got to be good, right? Yup, ate that bad boy up in no time!

In fact, not many people have taken me up on the Pepsi/Milk combo. Go figure.

I've got 3 recipes for dips ... there is never any leftovers of these :)

Spinach Dip
... is similar to what's posted except I use cream cheese in mine.

1 pkg (250g) cream cheese, softened
1 c Mayonaisse
1 c sour cream
1 pkg Knorr 7 vegetable soup mix *
1 pkg frozen chopped spinach

-Mix all together and serve with a pumperknickel bread bowl.

* I instead use the spice package from a Kraft Cold Pasta Salad pkg. The Knorr 7 Veggie soup is no longer available here, and the replacement is a tomato based broth mix and that's not the flavor this dip has. It took trial and error but the spice mix from Kraft is perfect.

4 Cheese Spinach Dip (served warm)

8 ounces cream cheese
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup (scant - not packed at all) freshly grated parmasan cheese
1 tablespoon (not packed) freshly grated romano cheese
1 tablespoon (rounded) very finely chopped sweet red pepper
1 green onion (or scallion) white and green finely chopped
1/2 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1/2 cup grated medium cheddar
pinch of cayenne pepper

-Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
-Mix first 4 ingredients with hand or stand mixer on medium until softened and well mixed.
-Add next two ingredients and mix on med-low until just incorporated.
-Add spinach and mix on low until just incorporated.
-Transfer mixture to a small ovenproof dish and sprinkling cayenne on top to taste.
-Top with cheddar. Bake for 15 - 18 minutes or until bubbling around the edges.
-Remove from oven and allow to set for 5 - 7 minutes before serving. Serve with fried or baked pita wedges and tortilla chips (nachos).

Buffalo Chicken Dip (served warm)

2 chicken breasts cooked and shredded
1 cup of ranch dressing
2 pkgs (8 oz each) of cream cheese, softened
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
3/4 cup of franks red hot sauce ( or less to taste)

-Mix dressing, cream cheese and hot sauce together with a mixer.
-Add chicken and cheddar.
-Bake at 350F for about 30 minutes.
-Serve with tortilla chips or baked pita chips

I just buy 2 guacamoles, depending on how many is going to eat it...cut down the middle, take the knife and hit the pod in the middle, not to slice your finger or hand, then take a spoon closest to the skin and scoop out, mash with a fork, add a little lemon or lime juice to keep the guacamole from turning brown, maybe a 1/2 tsp, then cut a red onion, you only need 1 tblspoon for this recipe, pinch of salt and pepper.make sure the guacamole is not too firm and not too soft.

I have a Pizza Dip.

9X9 pan
1 block cream cheese
1 cup of your pasta sauce
9 oz pepperoni sliced into halves
1/2 a green pepper diced
I like to add shredded chicken (already cooked) (optional)
1 cup your choice cheese on top

All in this order
Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes depending on the amount of stuff you put into it. I put bacon into it too.
Then just have tortilla chips (works best) or corn chips and enjoy.

Don't listen to her Rybcon...it tastes like spinach!!!!

I knew when someone said bacon that sickie would come running. LOL.

Milk and Pepsi...tried that once. I also tried milk in my tea once. I also tried setting myself on fire once. They all ended with the same bad taste in my mouth. :)

Okay. I have had a truly wonderful spinach and artichoke dip. ONCE. The problem i have with spinach dips is that they always put way too much spinach in it. I love artichoke dip made with FRESH artichokes and minimal amount of spinach.

My favorite veggie dip is a Beau Monde Dip. 3/4 C Mayo, 2 TBL parsley, 2 Tsp Beau Monde seasoning, 1 C sour cream, 1 tsp onion salt, 2 tsp dill weed. mix and chill. Tastes great on raw veggies.

For use on crackers I love this real simple crab dip. It is probably much like the others, but I forgot to look first. Thanks to Almeta Anderson for this recipe.
16 oz of Imitation crab meat (Chop it to your desired size chunks, I like mine small)
1 C chopped celery
1/4 C chopped green onion
1/4 C grated carrot
1 C Mayo or Miracle Whip
pinch of garlic
Mix and chill. I never have left overs and everyone always wants the recipe. I wonder how this would taste made from lump crab meat. Has anyone ever used it for dips?
